7 Feasts Of Israel

When holidays are holy days

About

Cultures all around the world celebrate holidays. Weekly, we celebrate a holiday, or more appropriately a “holy” day,  but what is celebrated differs greatly depends upon cultural foundations. If you enjoy resting on the weekend, you might be grateful for Shabbat – the Sabbath.

This site exists to explore the cultural & biblical roots of those holy days that Israel was told to permanently keep.

My intent is that the content of this site be a journey of exploration and discovery for people of all faiths.

Some comments about the website:

  • The site is aimed at being informative/educational and is not a debate forum.
  • Attribution for earliest substantial evidence for extra-biblical material will be given if known.
  • While I would like to post in both Hebrew and English, I don’t yet have the capability to do so.
  • Expansion of the site to handle multiple languages will be addressed as needed.
  • There will be no pre-dispositions to any specific Scripture translation.
  • Every attempt will be made to ensure accuracy of content. If you find something factually wrong, and you have solid, verifiable evidence to substantiate that as fact, please email us.
  • In matters of interpretation, authors and editors of site content will adhere to solid scholarly guidelines for interpretation of Scripture that are recognized by leading academic authorities.  This doesn’t mean we may agree with any particular interpretation, but we recognize a rational, logically valid approach to Scripture interpretation.
